Bobo's Room: Custom Nursery Artwork

Custom nursery artwork that is uniquely yours:

Paintings can be framed, or hung as is. If you like, a coordinating ribbon trim can be added for edging and hanging purposes.
Because each piece is custom designed and hand painted, each painting is truly a one-of-a-kind!

How it works:

Contact us with your artwork ideas. Please be as specific as possible regarding colors and other design elements you would like included. If you have fabric swatches, paint chips or pictures of your nursery, please send those on!
We will work up a computerized proof and send it to you for approval. This process usually takes just a few days.
Any design changes can easily be made at this time. Once the design is approved, we will begin work.
Please allow at least two weeks for completion of artwork. Usually, however, artwork can be completed sooner than this.

Pricing:

Custom 16 x 20" pieces start at $75. If three or more pieces are ordered, a discount is available.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due before we begin any artwork. The remaining balance is due upon completion of work.
Shipping charges, if any, are not included in the price and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Sorry, because each piece is custom designed, there are no refunds.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to an overflow of requests, and the fact that Bobo is now a busy toddler (with an equally busy mom), I am taking custom orders on a limited basis only. Feel free to send on your requests, and I will do my best to accommodate them.

It All Began with the Nickname...

As soon as the ultrasound confirmed "It's a Girl," my husband and I embarked on the great name search. While poring over a name book one afternoon, my husband suggested the name "Bodacia". We both giggled at the name, and from that moment on, the little kicker swimming around in Momma's belly was affectionately called "Bobo" (For those curious, since her birth, the nickname "Bobo" has stuck but we, sadly, went with a different first name).

Once the nickname was coined, we set to work decorating the nursery. Pink and green it was! We had our checklist all ready:

Nursery painted? Check.
Crib assembled and decorated? Check.
Diapeys stocked? Check.
Walls? Oops. Blank.

I found the perfect crib bedding, but my search for equally perfect, coordinating artwork proved fruitless. I combed the internet, but found the choices to be the wrong color, too cutesy, too feminine, not feminine enough...

I also wanted to inject some of my own interests and personality into the nursery. I was a foreign languages major in college and have always loved art, so I began sketching out some ideas for some French inspired animal art. My husband collaborated with me in picking out the animals and the colors, and then we were off. When the paint was dry and the canvases hung, we stood back and looked.

Bobo's room was complete.
